We know that shopping for jeans can be a real challenge and there is definitely not one shape or style that’s fits all. At Moutique, our team would love to help you find that perfect pair! We have a great selection for all shapes, sizes and budget so why not head on in for some advice that’s comes without any pressure, we are after all, about fun and relaxed shopping! For those of you shopping online, here are some key points that we hope might help you to choose what’s right for you: For an hourglass or pear shape we would suggest you look for jeans that highlight your curves and create a balanced look. Consider high-waisted jeans with a slight flare or wide leg to accentuate your waist and hips. If you have a figure with no defined waist or curves, jeans with a mid-rise or high-rise waist can create the illusion of curves. Low rise jeans work as well. Skinny and straight jeans are also a great option for you. If you have wider shoulders and hips, looser silhouettes will balance out your top half (tight skinny jeans emphasise the difference between your broad shoulder and your narrow lower body). Look for wide-leg, straight-leg, or boyfriend jeans. High-rise jeans can accentuate your waist and prevent any muffin top issues. Dark wash jeans do tend to have a slimming effect  Getting the length just right is super important too so if needed we recommend having them taking up. Boyfriend Jeans vs. Mom Jeans: What's the difference? When choosing between mom jeans and boyfriend jeans, consider the distinct characteristics of each. Mom jeans feature a high waist and slightly tapered leg, creating a flattering, vintage-inspired silhouette that highlights the waist and elongates the legs. In contrast, boyfriend jeans offer a relaxed, loose fit with a straight or slightly tapered leg, providing a laid-back, effortless vibe. Your choice depends on whether you prefer a snug, retro look with mom jeans or a more casual, comfortable style with boyfriend jeans. Both styles offer versatility and comfort, making them essential additions to any denim wardrobe.
